NDC|VBK publishers is a leading publishing company in the Dutch-speaking countries. It operates at the interface of information, culture and commerce with printed and electronic media and mass media.
Almost 1,800 people work in the various publishing companies and company divisions. Together, they generated an annual turnover of € 305 million in 2007, with an EBITDA of € 40,3 million (EBITDA 2006: € 38,8 million).
ThiemeMeulenhoff (“TM”) is a leading provider of proprietary educational content in the Netherlands with an annual turnover of € 64,5 million in 2007.
By combining the educational activities of VBKe and TM a prominent publisher on the Dutch educational market is created. With around 400 employees, the new combination will generate an annual turnover of around € 100 million (pro forma figures based on results of 2007).
