The acquisition of MGL and The Trompetter (jointly LMG) was the first step in the international expansion, followed by the acquisition of Orkla Media in September.
LMG is one of the largest regional newspaper groups in the Netherlands with a leading position in terms of circulation in the Limburg province with a market share of c80%.
The Dagblad de Limburger and the Limburgs Dagblad papers are household brand names, with a readership of c200,000. The group offers a stable of freesheet papers distributed throughout the Limburg and Brabant region with a total weekly circulation volume of more than 2 million copies. Titles include weekly door-to-door papers such as De Trompetter, and special interest freesheets including Wonen in Limburg and Auto-informatief.
LMG owns the largest print site in the region and with state-of-the-art equipment provides printing services to the group and to many outside clients.
LMG also participates in L1, the regional TV and radio broadcaster.
