Wegener is a leading Dutch publisher with yearly revenues exceeding € 700 million.
Wegener was founded in 1903 and is currently the largest regional newspaper and door-to-door publisher in the Netherlands with a circulation of 0.9 million daily. In addition Wegener is also active in direct marketing, internet and services related to publishing.
With the acquisition of Wegener and the recent take over of Media Group Limburg Mecom has achieved a dominant position in the Dutch regional newspaper market.
