Rob van Schaik
Rob van Schaik (1960) is partner and founder of Independent Capital Partners. Rob has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance and strategic advice.
His track record involves many high profile transactions such as the acquisition of ThiemeMeulenhoff by NDC|VBK the acquisition of Media Groep Limburg by MECOM, the acquisition of Veen Bosch & Keuning by Noordelijke Dagblad Combinatie, the buy out of PCM, the sale of ANP (the Dutch Newsagency) and the buy out of Het Parool.
Before Independent Capital Partners Rob founded Nielen Van Schaik, an independent corporate finance boutique focused on the Benelux.
He also worked for ING Bank and NIB Capital in various commercial, strategic and management positions. His experience covers strategy, mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance including public to private transactions.
Rob has a master in Literature, is member of the advisory committee of Elho International, member of the supervisory board of LMG and a renowned collector of modern art.
